2022 CMS Summer Meeting
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) invites the mathematical community to the 2022 CMS Summer Meeting from June 3-6 at Memorial University in St. Johns, Newfoundland. We are looking for an academic who aligns with the research directions in the Department. The Department of Applied Mathematics has particular research strengths in Mathematical Modelling and Biomathematics, Computational Mathematics, Dynamical Systems and Integrability, Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Nonlinear Phenomena, Optimisation, Fractional Calculus, and Stochastic Modelling.

Quoc Thong Le Gia, as co-chair (computational)
Dear MoCaO members. The computational chair, Stephen Roberts has decided to step down from the position of co-chair (computation) due to personal circumstances. The executive of MoCaO has unanimously agreed to appoint the runner up for the co-chair (computation) position in the 2020-2021 executive elections, Quoc Thong Le Gia, as co-chair (computational) to fill this position for the remainder of this executives term. We thank Thong for agreeing to take on this important role.

In this role, you will maintain and advance your scholarly research and professional capabilities relevant to this discipline and actively promote the discipline by establishing and sustaining links with academic, industry, and professional communities. The expected roles the applicant could engage in are broad in scope, but we encourage applicants to apply if they have an interested further developing and\or have research experience within the areas of machine learning and\or data mining.
